A delegation of Asha Workers and Facilitators Union Punjab will meet the Health Minister today

Nawanshahr - Today Democratic Asha Workers and Facilitator Union Punjab District Committee Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar meeting was held at Nawanshahr. At the beginning of the meeting, condoling the untimely death of the famous Punjabi poet Surjit Patar, he described it as a great loss to Punjabi literature.

A serious discussion was held on the demands of Asha workers and facilitators in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, the state general secretary of the organization Shakuntala Saroy said that there is a huge protest among the Asha workers against the Punjab government's policy of retiring the Asha workers at the age of 58. A delegation of the organization will meet Punjab Health Minister Balveer Singh on May 12 regarding raising the retirement age of Asha workers to 65 years, paying Rs 5 lakh on retirement, giving a pension of Rs 10,000 after retirement and other demands.
He said that if the Punjab government ignores their demands, the government will be surrounded on every platform. Rajwinder Kaur, Charanjit Kaur, Jasveer Kaur, Binder, Geeta and Sarabjit Kaur were also present in this meeting.
