Khivi, daughter of Panditrao Dharanwar, promoter of Punjabi language and culture, celebrated her 10th birthday by distributing sweet kheer prepared with desi ghee. Khivi celebrates her birthday every year by distributing kheer. It is worth mentioning here that Panditrao has named his daughter Khivi after the wife of Sri Guru Angad Dev ji, Mata Khivi ji. Mata Khivi ji served the society in the 15th century when women had no right to even go outside the house. Because of his great service to the society, Khevi's name is recorded with praise in Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
It is also to be mentioned here that Khivi has passed the fourth standard with 95 percent marks. Khivi loves the Punjabi language so much that it is her regular habit to read the editorial column of a Punjabi newspaper. Panditrao said that his house is not less than heaven due to the fact that his house is khevi.
