Nawanshahr - Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, a review meeting of the work of the District Employment and Business Bureau for the months of October, November and December 2023 was held. The District Employment Generation Skill Development and Training Officer Sanjiv Kumar presented the progress report of the work of the Bureau for October, November and December 2023 to the Deputy Commissioner and also informed about the activities to be done during the month of January 2024.
The official said that except for the placement target during the month of November and December 2023, all other targets have been achieved. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officer to complete the placement targets. The Deputy Commissioner was informed about the progress of PM Vishwakarma and skill competitions and was told that 380 registrations have been done against the target of 500 under the PM Vishwakarma scheme. And more than 950 contestants have been registered in the skill competitions and district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar is number one in the state. The Deputy Commissioner instructed to run the activities of the office in a more effective manner. Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Rajeev Verma, SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Akshita Gupta, SDM Banga Bikramjit Singh Panthe, Assistant Commissioner General Dr. Gurleen Kaur, Good Governance Fellow Sanjana Sakshaina and officials of related departments were present in this meeting.
