"Chalag Toll Plaza" located on the Jalandhar to Pathankot National Highway insults writers and journalists every day. Be it the I card of the press or the employees of the Punjab Press Club, the employees here consider it a joke and waste their valuable time. When Dr. Ranjit Singh Mukerian, journalist of Paigam E Jagat, showed him a copy of the above notification of the Punjab government, he also made fun of it. On behalf of the journalist community and all Punjabi writers, we request the Punjab government to restore the dignity of poets, writers and journalists at this toll plaza and advise them not to do so in the future.
