Patiala, November 8 - District Magistrate Patiala Sakshi Sahni using the powers vested under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Act, Sanghata 1973 (2 of 1974) designated the sites for dumping straw in the district Patiala at villages Kamaspur, Kakrala, Dodara, Sunyarheri, Shutrana, Jaikhar, Akalgarh, Reethkheri, Panjola, Kallarmajri, Chapar, Bathli, Kulburchhan, Munchiwala, Duladhi and Mirzapur A complete ban on firing of firecrackers has been issued within 200 meters of dumps made. These orders will remain in force till December 6. It has been said in the order that various measures are being taken by the district administration to prevent the fire of paddy residue during the harvesting of paddy crop during the year 2023.
