The expenditure register of Lok Sabha election candidates will be reconciled on 30: ADC

Patiala, June 26 - According to the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the election expenditure register of the candidates of Patiala constituency in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be merged on June 30. In this regard, in a meeting with the candidates and their representatives at the district administrative complex, Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Madam Kanchan asked all the candidates to reconcile their election expenses to the election expenses monitoring teams on June 30.

Patiala, June 26 - According to the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the election expenditure register of the candidates of Patiala constituency in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be merged on June 30. In this regard, in a meeting with the candidates and their representatives at the district administrative complex, Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Madam Kanchan asked all the candidates to reconcile their election expenses to the election expenses monitoring teams on June 30. Election tehsildar Vijay Kumar Chaudhary was also present on this occasion. During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that according to the instructions of the Election Commission of India, it is mandatory for all the candidates to reconcile their election expenses within one month of the completion of the election process. He said that in case of not doing so, the Election Commission of India may disqualify the candidate in the upcoming elections.
On this occasion, Election Tehsildar Vijay Kumar Chowdhury gave training to the attendees regarding entering the election expenses into the account. He said that previously the expenses have been reconciled three times on 20, 25 and 30 May and it will be done for the last time on 30 June. He said that if a candidate has any kind of problem regarding expenses, then he can present his side before the committee on June 30. Officials of various departments including candidates and their representatives were present in the meeting.
