New style of District Sweep Nodal Officer

Hoshiarpur - On the directions of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, voter awareness is being continuously spread under 'sweep' in all the assembly constituencies of the district. It aims to achieve the target of more than 70 percent votes this time. Under this series, Preet Kohli, sweep nodal officer of Hoshiarpur, made people aware about voting at Hoshiarpur railway station while playing the tambourine.
District Sweep Nodal Officer Preet Kohli reached the reservation counter and platform of the DMU train from Hoshiarpur to Jalandhar and contacted the people. Meanwhile, he made people aware about the importance of voting and encouraged them to vote 100 percent. Assistant Nodal Officers Media and Communication Rajnish Guliani and Neeraj Dhiman asked the passengers to vote and made people aware about voting by carrying posters, slogans and placards. Preet Kohli said that voting is our right. So all people should exercise their right to vote. Preet Kohli grabbed the attention of the train passengers with patriotic songs to motivate them to vote in large numbers. Meanwhile, a demo of EVM and VV Pat was also shown.
District Election Officer Komal Mittal said that the Election Commission of India is trying to increase the vote percentage as much as possible, so various awareness campaigns are being conducted across the country. Under this, people are being told about the importance of voting through various communication media including posters, banners, slogans and conversations.
