In this regard, the victim Harbhajan Singh said that he has retired from the Air Force and is a resident of Mata Gujri Colony, Mundi Kharar. He said that he had three sons out of which the eldest Sarabjit is in the Army and the younger Gurpreet Singh is in the Airforce and the third son is working in PGI Chandigarh.
They said that they live with their elder son on the lower floor of their house, Gurpreet lives with his wife on the middle floor and the younger son lives with his family on the upper floor. He said that on the night of July 22 last year, his son had committed suicide by hanging himself in his room while his wife had gone to her parents and they got the information about it the next day. He said that before committing suicide, his son had made a video in his mobile phone in which he blamed his co-worker Paramjit Singh alias Pammi, Paramjit's wife and another servant Harwinder Singh for his death and in this video On the basis of Aadhaar, the police had registered a case under Section 306, 34 of the IPC against these three.
Harbhajan Singh, his wife Jaspal Kaur and Manpreet Kaur, wife of the deceased Gurpreet Singh alleged that a case was registered by the police but no action was taken by the police and no arrest was made in the case. went He said that the other police did not oppose the bail of the accused and they got bail. Now even after more than six months, the police is not presenting the challan of the case. They alleged that when they asked Satwinder Singh, in-charge of police station Sunny Enclave in this regard, to submit the challan soon, he did not listen to them and instead abused them. They demanded that justice be given to them in this matter.
On being contacted regarding this, police station in charge of Sunny Enclave Mr. Satwinder Singh said that the police had registered a case against three persons on the complaint of the family in this matter. Two of these accused were interrogated after surrendering in the Hon'ble High Court and then granted bail by the Hon'ble Court and after the third accused got bail in the Hon'ble Supreme Court he joined the investigation. About presenting the challan, he said that the charge sheet has been prepared in this case and will be presented in the court next week. Terming the allegations of abuse leveled by the family as baseless, he said that he sympathized with the family. He said that the police is fulfilling its responsibility and the challan will be presented in the court soon.
