Hoshiarpur - Rotary Eye Bank and Cornea Transplant Society, after giving light to 28-year-old Rashpal Singh resident of village Kadiana (Dasuha), organized a blindfold opened ceremony under the chairmanship of President and prominent social worker Sanjiv Arora, Dr. Bali Hospital, Model Town. On this occasion, Principal Vidhya Bhalla of DAV School of Education was present as the chief guest and the secretary of the society, Principal DK Sharma, welcomed the chief guest and the guests. And the society's officers Sanjeev Arora, JB Bahl and Dr. Jamil Bali presented bouquets of flowers to the chief guest Mrs. Vidhya Bhalla and 28-year-old Rashpal Singh's blindfold was opened and he was congratulated by Mr. Vidhya Bhalla on getting light. .
On this occasion, Principal Vidhya Bhalla said that the service provided by the Rotary Eye Bank to the victims of corneal blindness has no value. He appealed to the people to come forward to fill the eye donation oath so that even after our departure, our eyes will continue to see this world and he said that today our society is moving forward with the strength of such social service organizations. And he said that giving someone a new life by giving light is the greatest act of merit and he assured to give all possible support from his side.
On this occasion, President Sanjiv Arora and Chairman JB Bahl said that every member of the society is fulfilling this responsibility given by God. Because human birth is useful for humanity, there can be no other task than this. Sanjeev Arora said that with the eyes donated by a person after death, two dark lives get light and so far more than 4060 corneal blindness victims have been given light by installing new eyes.
