Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa told the students that every year on April 22, Earth Day is celebrated all over the world. The importance of celebrating this day is to save the earth. He said that more and more plants should be planted to keep the earth green so that our environment can remain clean and green. He inspired the students to save natural resources and also informed them about the importance of voting. He said that the youth are the future of the country and during the elections the youth should participate in strengthening the democracy by using their vote.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Rajeev Verma said that through various activities in the district, people are being made aware to save the planet from the bad effects of plastic. He said that the people of the district are also being made aware about the importance of votes regarding the elections-2024 through the sweep.
