Patiala, April 16 - On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the founder of the Indian Constitution, Cabinet Minister and AAP candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha Constituency Dr. Balbir Singh, Patiala Urban MLA, at the monument near the old bus stand of Patiala. Ajitpal Singh Kohli and Chairman of PRTC and State Secretary of "AAP" Ranjodh Singh Hadana and other leaders of "AAP" and many volunteers offered floral tributes.

On this occasion, Dr. Balbir Singh said that Dr. Ambedkar was the architect of the Indian Constitution, the Messiah of the downtrodden people and the man of the era awarded with the Bharat Ratna. He not only spent his entire life to give proper place to Dalit, oppressed and weak classes but also made valuable contribution in social, economic, political, educational, religious, giving respect to women and constitutional fields in his life.
Patiala City MLA Ajit Pal Singh Kohli said that it was his merit that he was elected as the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee to draft the constitution of an independent country. He drafted the Indian Constitution based on equality and humanity in two years, 11 months and 17 days. He also authored many books. The ideas given by him at different times are invaluable. Dr. Ambedkar gave the basic three-point mantra 'Read, Join and Struggle' to uplift the downtrodden. He devoted his entire life to social welfare.
PRTC Chairman Ranjodh Singh Hadana said that many institutions and universities have named themselves after Dr. Ambedkar. Children need to take guidance from Babasaheb's teachings. Following the principle of freedom and community given by them, there is a need to get out of the caste distinction and become a lover of humanity.
