Hoshiarpur - The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar was celebrated at the district administrative complex by the district administration Hoshiarpur with great devotion. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal paid homage to Dr. Ambedkar ji by paying tribute to his portrait in the complex.
The Deputy Commissioner while congratulating the residents of the district on the birthday of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was the creator of the Indian Constitution. He said that the country can never forget the work done by Babasaheb to unite the country. He said that Babasaheb ji played a major role in establishing unity to give equal rights to all and removed the social evils prevalent in the society during that time.
Komal Mittal said that Babasaheb was a great personality. He said that his contribution to the country and society cannot be forgotten. He appealed to the residents of the district and said that they should follow the path shown by the Constitution maker Dr. Ambedkar and come forward to serve the country and society. Other officials and employees present on this occasion also offered floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar.
