Praneet Kaur was happy that the grant was used in a very efficient manner

Patiala, April 6 - Lok Sabha member from Patiala Praneet Kaur gave a grant of four and a half lakh rupees to the Punjab Pensioners Welfare Association for the development of a local pensioners home. It was used very judiciously and with this grant four magnificent bathrooms/toilets were constructed besides construction of staircases as well as renovation of four walls.

It was used very judiciously and with this grant four magnificent bathrooms/toilets were constructed besides construction of staircases as well as renovation of four walls. Seeing all this, Praneet Kaur herself was very happy when a function was organized in her honor at the pensioners home recently. Association President Gurdeep Singh Walia presided over the event. On this occasion, where Praneet Kaur was made aware of the problems of pensioners, she condemned the Punjab government for not adopting any concrete policy for the welfare of the pensioners of Punjab. Addressing the function, Praneet Kaur said that this pensioner home of Patiala is the gift of Captain Amarinder Singh, which he built in 2006. There is no pension house like this in any other city in Punjab. He said that he has great respect for pensioners and senior citizens. During the event, the speakers alleged that the Punjab government is on the path of disappointing the pensioners of the state. Apart from Paramjit Singh Mago, other speakers who gave their views on this occasion included Satpal Rahi, Jagjit Singh Dua, Satpal Singh Chambal, Gurmeet Singh Tiwana, Chand Prakash Singla, Ajit Singh Saini, Surjit Sharma, H.
