Chandigarh - The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Shri Banwari Lal Purohit, visited the Guru Ravi Das Gurudwara in Sector-30, Chandigarh and joined hundreds of devotees in celebrating the Sri Guru Ravidas Jayanti. Sh. Purohit attended the kirtan and also relished langar prasaad along with other devotees.

Remembering Sri Guru Ravidas, the Governor said that Guru Ravidas Ji was a great social reformer and messenger of peace, love and fraternity. He worked tirelessly against the evils of discrimination and espoused the cause of downtrodden. Sh. Purohit emphasised on the role of spirituality in one’s life and said that leading an ethical and religious life can bring peace and prosperity in one’s life. Sh Purohit shared his life’s experiences when many a times he took help of spirituality and kept walking on the right path in life.
