Garhshankar January 31: With reference to some posts found on social media and conversations with the media in the past, a police sheet has been filed under Section 295-A against the leaders of the Rational Committee, Bhupinder Fauzi, Surjit Doudhar, Davinder Rana etc. The teachers organization Democratic Teachers Front (DTF) has condemned the arrests. And along with the quashing of these cases, it has demanded scrapping of the undemocratic new criminal laws, UAPA, NSA, AFSPA and Section 295-A.
DTF State President Vikram Dev Singh and General Secretary Mukesh Kumar, District President Sukhdev Dansiwal said that the communalist forces holding the central power of the country are promoting the policy of suppressing all kinds of opposing voices with the force of the stick. Freedom of expression is being strangled continuously. Under the Indian Constitution and other international standards of human rights, the freedom of expression and the expansion of scientific ideas have already been diluted by the various governments of the country. And now efforts are being made by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government, which is moving towards the complete establishment of fascist power, to eliminate these formal openings as well. Filing papers under Sections 295 and 295A without verifying the facts is undemocratic in every respect. And under its guise, a conspiracy is being hatched to deprive pro-people intellectuals from standing up for themselves. Instead of addressing other real issues of the people, including permanent solutions to unemployment, poverty and inflation, restoration of secure jobs and fixed pensions, the establishment of a "one country, one religion, one language" central fascist state was blamed on those who wanted to establish it. The implementation of black laws by the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is also an expression of the unity and cooperation of both the governments in such matters.
The leaders of the organization called on the active people on social media to be careful of posting posts that break the community, against the spread of injustices in the society and against silencing the struggling people and to strongly oppose the policies of the rulers.
