National Youth Day was celebrated in Khalsa College Garhshankar

Garhshankar - Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar celebrated 'National Youth Day' under the direction of National Community Engagement Academic Network in collaboration with Sasrac, NSS and IIC. In the essay writing competition organized on this occasion, Diksha, a student of BSc B.D. won the first place, Sumiti, a student of BA B.D. got the second place and Payal got the third place. Simran Kaur, a BSc B.D. student, received a special award for her good performance.

  On this occasion, the students were encouraged to interact with the elders of their home and surrounding areas to increase their sense of community and respect for the elderly. So that they can learn from their experiences and understand their responsibility towards society. Acting Principal of the college, Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur, distributed prizes to the outstanding students and encouraged them to participate in such programs in future. SESSRAC Coordinator Dr. Manbir Kaur, Education Department Head Dr. Sangha Gurbaksh Kaur and Program Coordinator Prof. Naresh Kumari shared their views with the students and guided the students to respect the elders. Dr Janki Agarwal, Prof Kiranjot Kaur and Prof Manisha and students were present on this occasion.
