On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma in his address said that National Youth Day is celebrated on the occasion of the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. He said that Swami Vivekananda was a great man who dedicated his entire life to bringing positive change in the society as well as helping people. Hardly any other person would be able to do the work he has done for social welfare in his short life.
Raghav Sharma said that youth power is the future of our nation. Every youth should take inspiration from the positive work done by Swami Vivekananda in the interest of society and the youth should concentrate their energy in bringing positive changes in the society and serving the people. Because man is recognized by the work he does in his life. He said that if we look at the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda, he believed that serving man in a good way is actually serving Narayan.
Raghav Sharma told that Swami Vivekananda organized the World Religion Conference in Chicago in 1893 in which he represented Hindu religion on behalf of India and introduced Hindu religion and civilization, which was a big thing at that time.
During this, Deputy Director NYK Dr. Lal Singh said that we all need to implement the ideals of Swami Vivekananda in life. Swami Vivekananda is the national idol of all of us. By following the path shown by him, all the youth of India should play their role in nation building. Only by deciding can we contribute to nation building.
Various activities were organized
About 400 youth participants from various youth organizations, community and educational institutions participated in the district level youth festival. Programs will be organized from 13 to 19 January to make the young generation aware of the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. In sports competitions, tug-off bar and kho-kho competitions were conducted. The participants who stood first, second and third in the speech competition were honored with certificates. Joginder Dev Arya Bangana, Ashwani Kumar Dhiman Chintpurni Development Committee Amb, Anil Verma Assistant Professor and NCC Officer Government College Amb, Surendra Kaundal Nehru Yuva Mandal Churudu, Sandeep Kumar Disaster Management for special contribution in the Meri Mati Mera Desh and Har Ghar Tricolor program. Team Bharavain etc. were also honored with citation.
On this occasion, Himachal Pradesh Home Guard Deputy Commander Dheeraj and his entire team gave a demonstration to the youth about disaster management. Apart from this, exhibition of handmade items was organized by Drug Free Una Campaign, Rural Development Department, Transport Department, Industry Department, NABARD.
During this, Vipin Kumar was given a citation for making an electric auto, in which the Deputy Commissioner also took a tour in an electric auto.
On this occasion, President Shiksha Bharti Educational Institute Samur Khurd Thakur Nirmal Singh, Deputy Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Una Dr. Lal Singh, District Language Officer Neelam Chandel, Founder President of Chintpurni Development Committee Ashwani Kumar Dhiman, Dr. Yogesh Chandra Sood, Principal Shiksha Bharti College B.Ed. Hans. College staff and students including Rati, Lily Thakur, Arvind Rana, Secretary Manoj were present.
