Dr. Jaspreet Kaur told about the treatment management that the patients of cough, cold, fever have been asked to be treated in three categories A, B, C so that they can be treated in all possible ways and the swine flu patients should be treated separately. can be identified If a patient has mild fever, sore throat and cold, then he comes in A category and such patients are treated by giving medicine.
Category B includes patients who have a sore throat and fever above 102 and are advised to stay at home. Category C includes those patients who have excessive sore throat, fatigue and blood in sputum. They are admitted for treatment and samples are taken from such patients.
On this occasion, District Epidemiologist Dr. Rakesh Pal said that awareness is very important to prevent further spread of diseases like influenza by the health department so that common people can take special care about their health. If any person has shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, high fever, headache, body pain, chills and body fatigue, then they should contact the doctor immediately. Dr Paul said that general public especially immuno-compromised persons, children, elderly and pregnant women should take special care of their health.
Immuno-compromised persons, children, elderly and pregnant women have less power to fight the disease but if a person is healthy then there is no need to panic as the disease gets better on its own within 10 days. Precautions include wearing a mask, regularly washing your hands with soap, drinking plenty of fluids, taking paracetamol tablets in case of fever and staying away from crowded places. District Epidemiologist (IDSP) Syamaveda Devi, District Group Education and Information Officer Daljit Singh, Block Extension Educator Vikas Virdi and other health officials and employees were present on this occasion.
