PCMS Gate rallies by doctors, Warning to intensify the struggle if the demands are not accepted

Patiala, December 4 – All the government doctors across Punjab under the Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) Punjab to show support to the ongoing struggle by the Punjab State Ministerial Services Union to get the legitimate rights of the government employees. Today, gate rallies were taken out in front of hospitals.

The doctors' organization also held a similar protest in Model Town, Tripadi, Bhadas and demanded timely increase in dearness allowance and ACP for all the employees. And demanded restoration of the old pension scheme. On this occasion, District President of the Association, Dr. Harinder Pal Singh said that keeping in mind the interest of the patients, no strike is being conducted, but if the government does force then there will be no other option other than the strike. PCMSA expressed displeasure over the government's lukewarm attitude towards their legitimate demands including timely implementation of the old pension scheme, restoration of dearness allowance, earlier norms of career progression prescribed on 4-9-14. Disbursement of dues payable under the Sixth Finance Commission, including release of arrears of DA. Other demands also include rectifying irregularities in the salaries of employees recruited under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
