He said that according to the instructions of the Punjab government, the district administration will provide eye and ear expert services including medical check-up for the elderly at the welfare camp, along with this, spectacles and other necessary medical assistance will also be provided to the needy elderly.
The Deputy Commissioner said that pension services provided by the Punjab government will also be provided to the senior citizens coming to this camp and registration for the senior citizen card will also be done. He said that on this occasion, lectures of seniors who have contributed greatly in various fields will be conducted.
He said that the Civil Surgeon will support the District Social Security Officer for organizing the camp. On this occasion, the services of physio therapists, yoga and bone specialist doctors will also be provided so that all types of treatment services can be provided to the elderly at one place.
Sakshi Sahni said that such camps will also be set up at the sub-division level so that the needy seniors can reach the camp and avail the services.
On this occasion SDM Patiala Dr. Ismit Vijay Singh, District Social Security Officer Varinder Singh Bains, DDPO Amandeep Kaur, Supreet Kaur, Dr. SJ Singh, Lakhwinder Sareen, Yadwinder Singh, Ratinder Pal, Gurmeet Singh, Rahul Singh, Gursevak Singh were also present.
