Una, October 26 - Under the drug-free Una campaign, a four-day training camp for the doctors and other paramedical staff of the district in collaboration with AIIMS Delhi for the treatment of drug addicts at the grassroots level in Una district started on Thursday in the DRDA Auditorium. Happened. The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Una Raghav Sharma. Around 35 doctors and paramedical staff from the district are participating in this four-day long camp.
Welcoming the faculty from AIIMS, the Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration had been trying for this training for a long time. After this, people will now be able to get the facility of drug treatment at their doorstep on OPD basis in two government health institutions in all the five blocks of the district. Doctors and paramedical staff are being trained for this purpose. He said that the main focus of the Drug Free Una campaign is not only on demand reduction and primary intervention, but provision has also been made to provide the best and high level medical facilities to the drug addicts. He said that if we have to fight against this social evil, then it is necessary that the drug addicts should be taken to these health centers so that the person trapped in drug addiction can be brought into the mainstream once again. He said that these facilities will be operated under the supervision of a reputed medical institute like AIIMS, which will start yielding positive results in the future.
On this occasion, Dr. Alok Aggarwal, who came from AIIMS, appreciated the efforts of the district administration and said that the institute will provide training and other technical facilities to provide health facilities as per international standards to the drug addicts in the district. During the four-day training, doctors and paramedical staff will be provided complete information regarding counselling, screening and various medical systems currently being adopted for the treatment of drug addiction. After training, the trained staff from here will play an important role in improving the lives of the people on the ground. Dr. Vishwajit Chatterjee from AIIMS also expressed his views on this occasion.
