Patiala, October 27: Anti-drug awareness campaign in Patiala district is continuing under the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority and under the able leadership of District and Sessions Judge cum Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority Rupinderjit Chahal, which started on October 1 and continued on 31 It will last till October. With the support of health department and other departments, continuous efforts are being made to eradicate the disease of addiction from the district.
Under this campaign, Mani Arora, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, spoke to the audience on Patiala Radio Station. In which he explained in detail about anti-drug awareness campaign, functions of Lok Adalats, Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Utility Services), its benefits, benefits of NALSA schemes and other PALSA schemes.
During this face-to-face program, he said that the decision of the dispute settled through Lok Adalat is final and no appeal is filed against this decision in any court. Since the decision is made by mutual consent, there is mutual respect between the parties and both parties win and court fees (if any) are returned to the parties.
He said that the National Lok Adalat will be established in the district on 9 December 2023 and appealed to the people to take their pending disputes before the upcoming Lok Adalats to save their valuable time and hard earned money. For this purpose, every litigant willing to be disposed of by Lok Adalat may take his case to the National Lok Adalat by filing an application in the concerned court. Even in a pre-litigative case the parties can also apply to the Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Patiala for filing the case in Lok Adalat.
