Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Rajeev Verma has appealed to the small artisans and craftsmen of the
district to take maximum benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana Scheme. The main objective of this scheme is to
validate the skills of small artisans and artisans by providing financial assistance and skill training. He said that under this scheme,
carpenters, masons, tailors, barbers, washermen, sculptors, toy makers, potters, cobblers, garland makers can take benefits. Under this
scheme, up to 120 hours of free skill training will be given up to 15 thousand. The amount will be given for the tool kits related to the
occupation. He said that during the skill training, assistance will be given at the rate of Rs. Will be given in installments. He said that in
order to benefit from this scheme, any rural or urban craftsman, whose age is more than 18 years, can go to their nearest Common Service
