Labor Party President Jai Gopal Dhiman revealed the real situation of the Smart School using the right to information from the Government Senior Secondary Smart School Kot Fatuhi and said that almost 50 percent of the posts of teachers, lecturers and other staff in the school are kept vacant in Punjab. He said that a total of 363 children study in the school. In which there are 153 girls and 210 boys. In which there are 28 children in 6th class, 22 children in 7th class, 38 children in 8th class, 38 children in 9th class and 48 children in 10th. Similarly, there are total 93 children in 11th and out of which 52 children belong to arts, 21 commerce and 20 science subjects. There are a total of 96 children in Plus Two out of which 65 are related to Arts, 13 Commerce and 18 Science subjects.
Dhiman said that under the RT Act - 2009, no fee is charged from the children from 6th to 8th class in the school. But a total of Rs 860 per child of 9th class is charged annually, of which Rs 240: Amalgamated Fund, Rs 180: Sports Fund, Rs 180 PTA Fund, Rs 60: CAF, Rs 200: Registration fee. A total of Rs 810 per child of class 10, of which Rs 240: Amalgamated Fund, Rs 240: Sports Fund, Rs 180 per student, PTA Fund Rs 180, CAF Rs 60, Registration Fee Rs 150 per student. goes He said that a total of Rs 3070 per year per student from 11th Arts students. Dhiman said that the Aam Aadmi Party, which came to power in the name of education, has kept 100 percent vacant posts in the vocational group. Despite charging more and more fees from science and medical students, not even a single penny was given for science laboratories from 2010 to 19 July 2024. Science students in school are also deprived of practicals. In the matter of uniforms in government schools, the government of the Aam Aadmi Party is making a big difference with the general category children and no general class child is even given a uniform.
Dhiman said that the education policies of the Aam Aadmi Party are playing with the children studying in government schools and these policies are pushing the children towards darkness. By keeping 100 percent of the posts of lecturers and vocational teachers vacant in schools for the education of children, their constitutional right is being played with.
Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann himself is responsible for the damage being done in the field of education along with children. Dhiman said that playing with children studying in government schools will be stopped and a public interest petition is being filed in this regard soon in the honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court.
