Hoshiarpur - Children and staff were made aware about eye donation and organ donation in the leading educational institution of the region, Silver Oak International Senior Secondary School Shahbazpur. Under the guidance of the Chairman of the institution Tarlochan Singh, under the leadership of Principal Munisha Sanger, District President of Netradaan Sanstha Hoshiarpur Manmohan Singh, Secretary Baljit Singh, Chairman Professor Bahadur Singh Sanet, Retired Deputy Director Health Punjab Dr. Kewal Singh, famous social worker and state award winner Bhai Barinder Singh Maseeti made the school staff and children aware about eye donation, blood donation and organ donation.

He said that the fortnight is being celebrated from 25 August to 8 September across the country. This awareness camp has been organized for blood donation while alive and eye donation after death. Bhai Barinder Singh Maseeti said that a corneal blind person can regain his eyesight by getting free operation done by Rotary Club Hoshiarpur. He said that such patients are treated free of cost by the club.
Bhai Barinder Singh Masiti said that the club will provide free eye operation, medicine, accommodation. Any needy person can contact the school and inform Rotary Club Hoshiarpur and he will be treated free of cost.
