Nawanshahr - Dr. Mehtab Singh, IPS, Senior Captain of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar while giving information to the press said that as per the direction of Hon'ble Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana against the miscreants. As part of the campaign, the police of district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar have arrested 02 accused with 03 weapons.
Dr. Mehtab Singh, IPS, Senior Captain of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, while giving information said that Dr. Mukesh Kumar, PPS, Captain of Police (Investigation) Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Smt. Madhvi Sharma, PPS, DSP Sub-Division Nawanshahr and On 16-07-2024, under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Mahendra Singh, Chief Police Station City Nawanshahr, ASI Surinder Kumar 58/Shabhas Nagar Police Station City Nawanshahr along with his fellow employees blocked suspicious vehicles/persons at Saloh Road, Village Saloh from Begumpur. Checking was being done. During this checking, Om Bahadur alias Sahil son of Hom Bahadur, resident of village Saloh police station city Nawanshahr and Samraun Singh alias Giani son of Jaswinder Singh resident of Depo Wali Galhi, Vikas Nagar Nawanshahr police station city Nawashar were arrested and searched on a motorcycle. During one pistol 9 MM with magazine and 07 live rounds 9 MM from the dab of the said Om Bahadur alias Sahil and one pistol 32 bore (7.65 MM) without magazine from the black kit worn by the said Om Bahadur alias Sahil including 04 live rounds 7.65 MM and 03 live rounds of 12 bore and his accomplice Simraun Singh alias Giani from the said box one pistol desi cut 12 bore including 01 live rounds of 12 bore and motorcycle number PB 32-AC 0760 brand Splendor color black by the said Case No. 115 dated 16-07-2024 Crime 25 Arms Act 1959 Police Station City Navashahr has been registered against both the accused.
Meanwhile, the investigation revealed that the above accused is related to Larash Bishnoi gang. These accused are in the relationship of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Larash Bishnoi gangster. The above accused was produced in the honorable court and obtained 02 days remand. It has been done. During the investigation, from whom did the accused buy these weapons, what incident did the accused have to do with these weapons. An investigation will also be conducted in this regard and more revelations are likely to be made during the investigation.
