Hoshiarpur - A special Lok Adalat is being established by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on July 29, 2024. In this regard, pre-Lok Adalat conciliation meetings are being conducted by Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur Raj Pal Rawal. Accordingly, in the meeting held today, the parties related to the pending cases in the Supreme Court were invited and encouraged to file a case in the Special Lok Adalat, so that the pending cases can be disposed of as soon as possible. In this meeting, the people were told in detail about the benefits of filing a case in the Special Lok Adalat that filing a case in it will save their time and money.
The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority explained in detail about the cases in the Special Lok Adalat that it includes labor related cases, check related cases (138 NI Act), accident claim cases (motor accident claim), family Law Matters, Services Matters, Rent Matters, Academic Matters, Maintenance Matters, Mortgage Matters, Consumer Protection Matters, Transfer Petitions (Civil & Criminal), Recovery Matters, Land Dispute Matters and others Cases related to civil matters can be filed.
Apart from this, he also gave information regarding the National Lok Adalats which are held from time to time which are held four times in a year and the next Lok Adalat is being held on September 14, 2024. For the successful implementation of this Lok Adalat, they are also holding meetings with the heads of various departments from time to time. So that the general public can be made aware about filing maximum cases in this Lok Adalat, so that the general public can take maximum advantage of these Lok Adalats.
 It is also worth mentioning here that the Special Lok Adalat is being set up by the Supreme Court for the first time, due to which people are showing great enthusiasm to file a case in it.
