This attack was carried out on the instructions of Pakistan with the support of local people and political parties supporting terrorism. Surprisingly, instead of expressing regret over this incident, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah said that an attempt was made to scare the Amarnath Yatra by terrorists and to encourage terrorists. On this occasion, Ranjit Rana appealed to the central government to arrest the culprits as soon as possible and to trace the leaders of political parties and local residents who supported this incident and take strict legal action against them.
