Patiala, June 7 – Additional District Magistrate Madam Kanchan, using the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) to organize dangerous stunts of tractors/motorcycles and related implements within Patiala district limits, Prohibition orders have been issued.
These orders will remain in force till August 3. It has been said in the order that as per the letter received from the Punjab Government Home Affairs and Justice Department, some incidents have taken place in the state in the past, in which a youth has died during a dangerous performance/stunt involving tractors and related tools. Hence there is a need to ban the organization of dangerous stunts of tractors and related implements.
