SAS Nagar, June 1 - Voting for the Lok Sabha elections began today with complete peace. Meanwhile, where votes were cast by various VIPs, common people also cast their votes in large numbers by doing their due share in this life of democracy and despite the intense heat, people reached the polling booths and waited for their turn. 
Meanwhile, while the Election Commission had arranged for all the polling booths and rose syrup for the convenience of the voters, at different places political leaders and common people also installed cold sweet water bottles for the voters.
In the meantime, Mr. Kuljit Singh Bedi, Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, anchored plants near the polling station and installed cold sweet water fountain. In Sector 69, former councilor Mr. Satveer Singh Dhanoa and his colleagues installed chabil.
Meanwhile, the management of Ratan Professional College of Sohana organized the medical examination of the voters. The head of the college Mr. Sunder Lal Aggarwal said that the voters who came to the polling booths built in the college who needed help were medically examined and the voters were also given ORS solution.
In Phase 9, Municipal Councilor Kamlarjit Singh Banni was the first to reach his booth and cast his vote. His son also voted for the first time in his life today.
Three generations voted together in village Chilla today. Journalist Karamjit Singh Chilla, his father Mr. Ajaib Singh Gill (former Sarpanch Chilla), uncle Mewa Singh Gill, and his son Gagandeep Singh exercised their right to vote today at village Chilla of Mohali Assembly Constituency.
