Hoshiarpur - 7 pink booths (women operated booths), 70 model booths, 10 green booths and one PWD booth were constructed in the district keeping in mind the convenience of the voters under Lok Sabha Elections-2024. At these booths, the main gate was also specially decorated with flowers to posters-hoardings.
Also red carpet (red carpet) and pink carpet (pink carpet) were laid. Along with this, comfortable sofas were also installed in the waiting room. The special feature of these pink booths was that all the women workers were manning the booth. Selfie points also remained a center of attraction for voters. Special arrangements were made at each booth for 'Person with Disability', there was special provision of wheelchairs to bring senior citizens to the booth. From the morning, women, senior citizens and disabled people showed special enthusiasm towards voting and everyone contributed to this festival of democracy by voting. Voters were being escorted to the main gate by volunteers with smiling faces and there were special arrangements of fans, coolers and cold-sweetened water and lassi for each voter to relieve the heat.
