Nawanshahr - A motivational event was held at Guru Nanak College of Nursing, Dhahan Kaleran, on the importance and safety of water. During the event, the students of the college enthusiastically participated in the competition organized on the said topic through ideas, poems and paintings. Among them were BSc nursing students Navneet Kaur, Ritika, Arshdeep Kaur, Priya Chawla, Hardeep Kaur, Harpreet Kaur, Tamanna, Kamana Bhanot, Ruchika, Rajdeep Kaur, Prabhjot Kaur, Muskan. 
Along with this, GNM nursing students Amandeep, Gurkamal, Simranjeet, Jasmine, Tannu Sharma, Neha, Savitri, Jasveer Kaur, Gurkeerat Kaur, Amaneet Kaur, Sushant Kandaulam also shared their opinion about water conservation in the competition. . All the contestants were awarded with certificates and medals. The felicitation ceremony was performed under the leadership of Kulwinder Singh Dhahan, President of Guru Nanak Mission Medical and Educational Trust Dhahan Kaleran. He said that the conservation of water is one of the main needs of today because the misuse of water due to its importance is unfortunate. The said effort was done under the leadership of water conservation servant Surjit Majari. 
He said that a collective movement is needed for water conservation to protect life. Coordinator of the event Madam Ramandeep Kaur Vice Principal, Social Worker Harbans Kaur Kariyam, Hariblas Heon also congratulated the contestant students for being part of this missionary movement. The stage was jointly moderated by Jaskiran Kaur and Damanpreet Kaur. All the attendees took a pledge to serve as volunteers in the social sector, becoming part of the collective movement on water conservation.
