Una, July 22 - Una district administration took an inspiring initiative for environmental protection and organized a free sapling distribution program for the people on Monday. In this program organized in the Deputy Commissioner's office premises, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal distributed saplings to the local people as well as representatives of various NGOs. 1100 citrus plants were distributed in the program. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that a good future for the coming generations is linked to a good environment. He said that the purpose of this program is to motivate people to plant as many trees as possible and to protect against the effects of climate change, protection from adverse weather conditions and ensure clean air. For this, it is necessary to plant as many trees as possible.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to plant and protect trees for a better future. He appealed to the people to plant as many trees as possible during the rainy season, make their surroundings green and fulfill their responsibility in protecting the environment.

In the program, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal and Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar also planted saplings in the office premises. The Deputy Commissioner planted a palm tree, while the Additional Deputy Commissioner planted a Golden Spruce tree.
On this occasion, DFO Sushil Kumar, Secretary of Red Cross Society and Credit Planning Officer Sanjay Sankhyan, DFSC Rajeev Sharma and officers from various departments were present.
