Samana/Patiala, May 15 - The Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Patiala, is organizing a district-level farmer training camp on May 17 at 9 am at Samarat Palace in Samana to provide technical information to the farmers regarding the harvest of 2024.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Patiala Dr. Jaswinder Singh said that in this camp, farmers were instructed by the government to plant less time-consuming varieties of paddy only as per the schedule,  To increase the area under direct sowing of paddy, Technical points regarding sauni crops will be shared for conducting soil and water testing and for planting recommended pure varieties under maize.
He appealed to all the farmers of the district to participate in Kisan Mela in large numbers and get maximum benefit in the future by getting the information given by the agricultural experts.
