'Safe School Vehicle Policy'

Hoshiarpur - In the district today under the instructions issued by the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission and the guidelines of the Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur by the District Task Force, under the Safe School Vehicle Policy, Delhi International School, GMA City Public School, 60 buses were checked in Academic Heights Public School and St. Joseph's Convent School Raj Colony Camp.

Challan of 7 school buses which were expired during checking or in which deficiencies like first aid kits, fire extinguisher, CCTV camera, excess seating capacity were found in the bus. cut off
On this occasion, district child protection officer Harpreet Kaur, social worker Ranjit Kaur, traffic in-charge Deepak Kumar and the entire team created awareness about the safe school vehicle policy in different schools. The District Child Protection Officer said that under the Safe School Vehicle Policy, it is very important for the school heads to follow all the conditions in the buses while keeping the safety of the school children as the main priority. He said that according to the Safe School Vehicle Policy, there is often a risk of accidents with buses that do not meet the requirements.
On this occasion, the task force informed that this campaign will be conducted continuously in the entire district. The task force instructed all the schools that all the drivers and attendants must wear their uniforms, take special care of the small children traveling in the buses, cross the road properly while boarding and alighting from the bus and the school buses which Deficiencies have been found, they should be removed immediately.
