Patiala, April 11 - Deputy Captain of Police City-1 Sanjeev Singla informed the media that Senior Captain of Police Patiala Mr. Varun Sharma and Mr. Mohammad Sarfraz Alam under the directions of Captain of Police City Patiala against anti-social elements and looters. Acting under this campaign, Inspector Harjinder Singh Dhillon Chief Officer Police Station Kotwali Patiala and the team arrested the person who snatched the earrings of an elderly woman within 24 hours.
Sanjeev Singla said that on April 9, the Patiala police succeeded in arresting the accused Parminder Singh alias Binder son of Jaspal Singh, a resident of village Burar, police station Sadar Pataran, district Patiala, who escaped after snatching the earrings of Phoolan Devi (66), an elderly woman of Rose Colony. After registering the case, the police also searched the recording of the CCTV camera installed outside the old woman's house. The police remand of the accused is being obtained. More robberies are expected to be revealed during the investigation.
