The 7th Annual Athletics Meet of GNA University was successfully organized

The Department of Physical Education and Sports of GNA University organized the 7th Annual Athletic Meet at the University Sports Grounds in which the students of various schools of the University participated with enthusiasm and enthusiasm. Senior Cyclist Mr. Balraj Singh Chauhan joined as the Chief Guest while this sports event was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. VK Ratan. The chief guest of the function saluted the march past performed by the students of different schools of the university. And in his address, he encouraged the students to progress in the field of sports as well as studies.

Around 350 students of the university showed their sportsmanship in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m, shot put and javelin throw, tug-of-war competitions held in this sports event. Apart from this, tug-of-war and musical cheer competitions were also conducted for the staff. Gurpreet Singh, a student of the School of Physical Education and Sports, and Taapsee, a student of the same school, became the best athletes by winning all competitions. And the winner of the over all trophy of the athletic meet also became the School of Physical Education and Sports.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. VK Ratan distributed the prizes to the winners and congratulated the winners in his address. And said that sports provide health to our body and a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. School of Physical Education and Sports Head Dr. Param Preet thanked the chief guests, university staff, sports coordinator and students who participated in the function. The various events of the event were well conducted by Madam Manpreet Kaur, Madam Navdeep Kaur and Shri Vijay Kumar.
At this time, Registrar Kunal Bains, Dr. Vikrant Sharman, Dr. CR Tripathi, Dr. Disha, PRO Gurmeet Singh, Dr. Ayna, Dr. Sourav, Madam Kamini, Prof. Sahil, Prof. Paramjit Singh and other university staff were present. Dr. Dinesh Kumar and Dr. Suresh Kumar performed the task of conducting the forum very well.
