In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion about the work being done by the Child Welfare Committee. During this, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal directed the Child Welfare Committee to regularly inspect the National Career Service Center so that all the basic facilities can be provided on time to the children living in the institute.
Una, February 7 - The quarterly meeting of the Child Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion about the work being done by the Child Welfare Committee. During this, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal directed the Child Welfare Committee to regularly inspect the National Career Service Center so that all the basic facilities can be provided on time to the children living in the institute. He said that apart from school buildings and toilets, other basic facilities will be provided to the migrant children studying in the non-residential special training center in Malahat.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Child Welfare Committee that if any matter related to child welfare comes to the committee, it must be brought to their attention so that the matter can be resolved in time.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in the last three months, three cases have been approved under the Sponsorship and Foster Care Scheme in the district. Apart from this, a total of 197 children are being given the benefit of this scheme in the district. Deputy Commissioner said that under the Sponsorship and Foster Care Scheme, financial assistance of Rs 4,500 is provided every month to eligible children.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Child Welfare Committee also inspects the Observation Home and Special Home Institute Samur Kalan and Prem Ashram from time to time and checks the accommodation and food items of the children. He said that the committee also inspected Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Pekhubela and informed the children about adopting moral values ??as well as leading a stress-free life.
In the meeting, the committee was informed about various schemes, POCSO Act, JJ Act, laws related to child marriage and other issues related to children and various schemes being run by the department for children and told that from time to time children are visited by schools. Are made aware about these schemes.
