Civil surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur said that the elderly and patients with heart diseases should avoid walking or going out of the house in the morning and late evening when it is very cold and foggy. Small children are at high risk of pneumonia in this season and due to cold, small children may also suffer from vomiting, diarrhea. Therefore, paying special attention to the care of children, in order to protect them from winter, small children should wear warm clothes that cover the body completely, and the head should also be covered and socks should be worn on the feet. He said that warm clothes should be worn in two or three layers in this season so that the body temperature remains normal. To make up for the lack of water in the body, drink lukewarm or lukewarm water for a short time or as needed and eat a balanced diet.
