District Magistrate has issued various restriction orders in Hoshiarpur district
Hoshiarpur - District Magistrate Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal has issued various restrictive orders in the district using the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974). Under this, they have issued an order banning the operation of illegal hookah bars within the limits of Hoshiarpur district.
Hoshiarpur - District Magistrate Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal has issued various restrictive orders in the district using the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974). Under this, they have issued an order banning the operation of illegal hookah bars within the limits of Hoshiarpur district.
In the issued order, he said that tobacco, cigarettes and harmful chemicals are used in such hookah bars, which are very harmful to human health and have a negative impact on the society. Similarly, orders have been issued to owners of poultry farms/rice shellers/kilns and other small scale industries in the district as well as domestic servants. That they keep the name, full address, three photographs (right, left and front pose) of their subordinates registered in their homes. And write down the addresses of all their relatives. The owner should keep the finger print of the servant in his register and register this entire record immediately in the concerned police station or police station of the area.
Along with this, orders have also been given to house/shop owners, persons occupying houses/shops, persons in charge of houses/shops. That whatever houses/shops are rented out by them or will be rented out in the future, the name and full address of the person living in them should be immediately registered in the police station, police station of their area. The District Magistrate has also banned the cutting of green mango, neem, pipal and banyan trees from the delisted area within the district limits. It has been instructed in the order that if it is necessary to cut the said trees in special circumstances, then they should be cut with the approval of the Forest Department. For this purpose, the same procedure will be adopted by the Forest Department, which is followed for issuing permits in closed areas under the Punjab Land Protection Act-1900 Section-4 and 5.
Similarly, District Magistrate Komal Mittal has imposed a complete ban on the burning of crop residues within a radius of one thousand yards (914 m) of the outer boundary wall of 18-Ammunition Depot, Uchi Bassi. Issuing another order, the District Magistrate said that no person within the district limits will take their cattle to graze openly on roads or in public places. The District Magistrate has issued orders to the village managers to keep regular vigil at night to prevent incidents of robbery and theft in the villages. This order has been issued to ensure the safety of life and property of people in the villages at night. The District Magistrate has imposed a complete ban on the watering or bathing of cattle by any person in the large and small canals, Chow dam and Dhusi dam on the banks of the river Beas within the limits of Hoshiarpur district.
Apart from this, the District Magistrate has issued a complete ban on the transportation of cattle in the district from 6 pm to 6 am in summer and from 5 pm to 7 am in winter. In addition to this, orders have also been given to those who have kept cow lineages to get registered with the Animal Husbandry Department. All the above orders will remain in force till March 8, 2024.
