Patiala, December 21 - Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, PLW hosted the annual Sports Day today. The function held at the school grounds was the Chief Guest, Mr. Pramod Kumar, Principal Chief Administrative Officer Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, PLW and Guest of Honour, Mrs. Radha Raghav, President PLW Women Welfare Organization.
The program began with a performance of folk dances from different states of India, presented by talented youth from primary and secondary schools. Then the chief guest Mr. Pramod Kumar announced the start of the sports meet. Students from both primary and secondary sections enthusiastically participated in 100, 200 and 400 meter sprints, 400x4 relay race, tag pull, and various other events. Mr. Pramod Kumar and Mrs. Radha Raghav distributed the prizes to the winners. The program ended with the Punjabi folk dance Bhangra, embracing various forms of the rich cultural heritage. Principal KV-2 Shri Shashi Kant felicitated the chief guests. In his address on the occasion, Mr. Pramod Kumar said that this annual sports day of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 PLW Patiala has been very successful, which has created a sense of unity, athletics and cultural pride among the students.
