Patiala, December 8 – Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal, using the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, ordered the sale of olive green (military colour) uniforms, army badges, caps, belts of general public within the limits of district Patiala. And buying, selling and using army insignia etc. has been completely banned.
In these orders issued, it has been stated that special olive green (military color) uniforms are used by the military of the country of India, but generally it has been seen that olive green (military color) uniforms, Army Badges, caps, belts and army insignia etc. are openly available in the shops, due to which some mischievous elements misuse them to disturb peace and tranquility in the country, endangering human life. is Hence it is necessary to ban the use and sale of olive green (military colour) uniforms, army patches, caps, belts and army insignia by the general public to ensure distinction and to prevent such incidents. These orders will remain in force till February 5, 2024 in the district.
