Hoshiarpur - Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management and Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Punjab Brahm Shankar Jimpa today held a meeting with the officials of various departments of the district at the district administrative complex. Meanwhile, he instructed all of them that the benefits of the government's pro-people policies should be extended to the common people and timely delivery of civic services should be ensured. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal and SSP Surendra Lamba were also present with him.
The cabinet minister said that the first priority of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is to provide civic services to the people without any hassle. He said that people have faith in the government and we all have a common responsibility to live up to it. He said that there is a need to take concrete steps on law and order, elimination of drugs and improvement of health services.
Brahm Shankar Jimpa instructed SSP Hoshiarpur that no loophole should be left to curb drug addiction and strict action should be taken against whoever is involved in this matter. He said that the people of the state have high expectations from the Punjab government and the government is committed to fulfill every promise made to the people. While he instructed the RTO to take appropriate steps regarding road safety, he also instructed the mining officer regarding the cleaning of Bhangi Chow apart from the flood protection arrangements. He asked the officials of the health department to improve the cleanliness of the government hospital and provide better health services to the patients. In the meantime, he has been involved in the Municipal Improvement Trust, Punjab Roadways, District Social Justice and Empowerment, Rural Development, Town Planning, Animal Husbandry, Cooperative Societies, National Highways, Food Supply, Mandi Board, Municipal Corporation, Power Corporation, Public Works Department, Public Health. Officials of other departments also gave necessary guidelines.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal assured the cabinet minister that the administration will fully comply with the instructions issued by the Punjab government. And no shortcoming will be left to fully implement the vision of the Hon'ble Chief Minister in the district. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (c) Rahul Chaba, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Gurpreet Singh, SDM Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains and officials of other departments were also present.
