Nawanshahr - A review meeting of the local district committee under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act 2013 was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Rajiv Verma, Additional Deputy Commissioner (j) in District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar.
In this meeting Mr. Rajeev Verma, Additional Deputy Commissioner(s) issued guidelines to all officials that wherever 10 or more women are working in government or private department. An interim grievance committee should be formed there and after forming the committee, it should be ensured that the report is sent to Mr. Manjinder Singh, District Program Officer, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar within 15 days. Additional Deputy Commissioner (j) while appreciating the work of the committee said that no sexual harassment complaint has been received by the committee in district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Dr. Gurleen, Assistant Commissioner(s), Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, who is also the Nodal Officer of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, was present along with District Social Security Officer Rajkiran Kaur, all the members of the Local Grievance Committee were present.
