Phillaur - Congress Party's victorious candidate from Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency Charanjit Singh Channi, as part of his thanksgiving tour to the Congress workers and voters of all Lok Sabha constituencies for making him proud with such a huge lead, today visited Assembly constituency Nakodar along with Assembly constituency in-charge Dr. Navjot Singh Dahiya.
After addressing the meeting at the local resort in Nakodar, a road show was taken out. Which reached back to Noormahal via Noormahal, Talwan, Puadra, Bilga, Gumtali. On reaching village Gumtali, Charanjit Singh Channi Dr. Navjot Singh Dahiya was given a rousing welcome by the Congress workers of the village under the leadership of former Sarpanch and former Director Punjab Khadi Board Punjab Government Abhishek Sharma. Channi thanked Abhishek Sharma and the villagers and took blessings from the elders. 
Channi assured that we are with you at all times and no stone will be left unturned for the development of the village. Abhishek Sharma said that due to the public welfare works done by Channi as Chief Minister, he has become a popular leader of all. When people came to know that Channi was coming, people from Muharra villages came to welcome him. Sharma also expressed his gratitude to the villagers.
