Una, June 2 - Due to the severe outbreak of heat wave, it has been decided to keep all government and private schools in Una district closed till June 4. This order will be applicable to all secondary, higher and senior secondary schools along with pre-primary and primary schools. District Magistrate Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has issued orders in this regard, taking precautionary measures for the health safety of the students due to extreme heat.
Jatin Lal said that as a precautionary measure to protect the health of the students from the severity of the heat wave and to avoid any emergency, it has been decided to keep all government and private schools in the district from pre-primary to senior secondary schools closed on June 3 and 4 as well. During this time, schools have been instructed to use digital means for online studies of children.
It has been said in the order issued that in the schools where examinations are scheduled on June 3 and 4, they should be conducted compulsorily between 7 am to 11 am. Schools will have to ensure drinking water, shaded areas and fans, coolers or air conditioning in the examination hall for the students appearing for the examination. Apart from this, schools have been asked to ensure the availability of first aid kits and a doctor or nurse for immediate treatment in case of heat stroke. Instructions have also been given to provide proper information about emergency procedures to the school staff and students.
Jatin Lal has instructed the officials of the Education Department to ensure strict compliance of the order.
