Patiala, May 30 - Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala parliamentary constituency NK Sharma asked 5 questions each to his rival candidates Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi, Preneet Kaur and Dr. Balbir Singh. But all three candidates did not answer them, after which today NK Sharma answered these questions and also appealed to the people to vote for the Akali Dal on the basis of work and character.
NK Sharma said that Dr. Gandhi is contesting elections for the third time and all three times he is contesting on the election symbol of different parties. He said that the Gandhi family, which Dr. Gandhi used to abuse and considered responsible for the attack on Sri Darbar Sahib and the massacre of Sikhs in 1984, today he is going with them. He said that in five years, Dr. Gandhi's attendance in the Lok Sabha was only 55 percent, while he took salary for five years. He asked only 18 questions and not even once asked about farmers, traders, SC families and Patiala constituency.
He said that in this way Preneet Kaur asked only 27 questions in five years. Thus 79 debates were held out of which she participated in the debate only 18 times. He said that Preneet Kaur never raised the issue of Ghaggar in the Lok Sabha in five years and neither did she talk about the development of Patiala constituency. He also told that Preneet Kaur was allotted a grant of 17 crores out of which only 7 crores were used and the grant of 10 crores lapsed.

He said that the performance of Dr. Balbir Singh is in front of everyone. The condition of health and medical education including Patiala's Rajindra Hospital is very bad. He said that Dr. Balbir Singh could not give justice to the farmers of those 24 villages of his assembly constituency whose land was acquired for the Northern Bypass and till date they have not received compensation for their land. He said that Dr. Balbir Singh's performance is zero.

He said that on the other hand my performance is in front of the people. I am asking for votes on the basis of performance and character. He appealed to the people to make Shiromani Akali Dal successful by voting for its election symbol Takadi No. 1 on June 1 to change the face of Patiala constituency and solve its problems.
