Patiala, May 30 - Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha Constituency NK Sharma has said that during the election campaign, he addressed public meetings in 650 villages of Lok Sabha constituency. There, a total of 142 public meetings have been held in urban areas. He has received respect from every section of the society during this campaign.
Patiala, May 30 - Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha Constituency NK Sharma has said that during the election campaign, he addressed public meetings in 650 villages of Lok Sabha constituency. There, a total of 142 public meetings have been held in urban areas. He has received respect from every section of the society during this campaign.
Before the end of the election campaign, NK Sharma went around Patiala and nearby areas on a lomotorcycle this morning and talked to the people about the problems of the area. He said that after being announced as a candidate by the Akali Dal, he had started a campaign to contest the election on the issue of development. During this campaign, a total of 62 representatives of social and religious organizations supported him. The Akali Dal candidate said that during the election campaign, around 900 prominent workers and leaders of Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party have taken the Shiromani Akali Dal. Apart from this, the number of his supporters remained different.
During the campaign, he addressed a total of 792 public meetings, while Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal held a rally in Patiala, the Punjab Bachao Yatra also came out from many constituencies here. Apart from this, his wife addressed a total of 110 election meetings in Patiala Lok Sabha. Apart from this, his brothers also went and preached in different places.
Sharma said that on the basis of the information received from the people of Patiala Lok Sabha constituency, he has also issued his election manifesto. While Praneet Kaur, MP from Patiala, Dharamveer Gandhi and Minister Balbir Singh for two and a half years have fought this entire election without any issue. Praneet Kaur and Dharamveer Gandhi could neither tell the achievements of their tenure as MPs nor give any road map for the future to the people here.
