Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and SSP Dr Mehtab Singh inspected the parade during the full dress rehearsal conducted at ITI ground. After this, the march past was taken out under the leadership of the parade commander DSP Joga Singh. In addition to Punjab Police jawans, students of various schools including Punjab Police Women's Wing participated in the March Past. After this PT show was presented by students of different schools. Students of different schools presented a cultural event with their action songs and choreographies based on the theme of patriotism.
After this, the Deputy Commissioner presided over the meeting of all participating schools and various departments involved in the arrangements and issued the necessary guidelines to make the Independence Day event a success.
