Department of Biology of Sikh National College Banga celebrated International Women's Day

Nawanshahr - Department of Botany and Biology at Sikh National College Banga celebrated International Women's Day. On this occasion, students of all three years of BSc participated in Rangoli and poster making competition. Science staff were present on this occasion including Professor Indu Rati, Professor Sunidhi Miglani, Professor Amrit Kaur, Professor Sikha Kumari and Professor Lovepreet Kaur and non-teaching staff Chaman Lal, Ram Raj and Daljit Singh.

Professor Indu Rati, while educating the students about women's empowerment, said that women should be given full respect and should not be deprived of their rights and encouraged the students not to tolerate injustice. Charanpreet Kaur, a second year student A speech was also given on the day. After this, Rangoli and poster making competitions were conducted in which Prof. Indu Rati and Prof. Amrit Kaur played the role of judges and the first, second and third places were selected and awards were also given. In poster making, the first place student is Urmila, the second place students were Harpreet and Sachin and the third place students were Rimple and Khushi. Amanjot Kaur and Tanisha were the first prize winners in Rangoli. Manpreet and Jasleen and the third position student is Charanpreet Kaur. Children thoroughly enjoyed this day.
